Millie started training in 2013 when she was 8 with her twin sister Sydney and mother Leaine. She earned her 1stdegree black belt in 2022. Millie then trialled in 2023 and was selected to represent New Zealand at the World Championships in Finland as a junior team member, where she won a gold and bronze medal. Since then, she has also gone to the 2024 World Cup in Argentina and represented New Zealand as a senior at the 2025 World Championships in Croatia.
Millie has been assisting the junior class since 2020 and has continued to help teach the Wednesday class at Spirit Kelburn. Millie has a lot of experience teaching kids of different ages and levels and helping them to improve.
